Concessions Worker

Position Summary:
The Concession Worker is responsible for preparing, selling, and serving food and beverages at school events. This role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, families, and visitors while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to safety and health guidelines.
• Operate cash registers, handle cash, and provide accurate change.
• Restock supplies and maintain product displays during events.
• Keep concession stand clean, sanitized, and organized before, during, and after service.
• Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation standards as required by school and state regulations.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including set-up and tear-down of concession stand.
• Communicate effectively with team members, volunteers, and supervisors.
• Report inventory shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Prior food service or retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system accurately.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings during school events.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures preferred (training may be provided).

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, customer-facing environment at school athletic events, performances, or activities.
• Evening based on event schedules.
• 4:30 pm-8:30 pm
