What are the responsibilities and job description for the Naturalist position at Alaska Excursions?
Acts as crew to the RHIB boat captain. Provides narration on the RHIB ride to and from Glacier Point. Gives a safety speech and ensures guest compliance. Assists the Captain in boat maneuvers and in the care of the boat.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures guests experience the “E.X.C.U.R.S.I.O.N. of a lifetime” by being attentive to the needs and/or wants of the guests, answering any and all questions guests may have throughout the excursion, and notifying management of unhappy guests and/or obtaining guests’ information for management to contact them
Monitors the safety of our guests at all times and ensures that children stay with their parents/guardian
Maintains the cleanliness of the boat
Assists guests getting into and out of all modes of transport
Presents guests with quality, accurate information during the tour
Presents guests with safety information
Assists the Captain in docking and fueling the boat and any other boat maneuvers as needed
Greeting the guests on the pier and escorting them to/from the boat
Watches for wildlife throughout the tour and assists guests with picture taking
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: As assigned by management

Job Requirements
Certified or able to get certified in First Aid/CPR. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Legally eligible to work in the US.
