Alaska Boiler & Burner provides maintenance, sales and service within the state of Alaska. We currently have an opening for an experienced Boiler Technician for our Anchorage office.

The ideal candidate will have experience with boiler maintenance, as well as general mechanical and electrical skills related to boiler operation. Pipefitting as related to boiler operation installation and maintenance preferred. This position requires occasional short term travel. This position will provide you with a variety of opportunities to use your existing skills while learning learn new skills in a variety of environments and the opportunity to advance and travel throughout the state.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and repair boilers, burners and mechanical systems in commercial settings.
- Maintain, repair, install equipment and piping related to boilers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs for equipment related to various aspects of boiler and mechanical systems.
- Accurately gather data and interpret readings using gauges and meters.
- Use schematics and manuals to program and troubleshoot boiler controls.
- Travel within the state for short term maintenance service.
- Comply with safety regulations and building codes.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
- Be accountable for company issued tools, equipment and inventory.
- Professional interactions and communication with customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Experience with boiler operation and repairs in commercial settings.
- Skills for problem solving and maintaining attention to detail.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team as the task requires.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
