Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping/receiving environment.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Regular exposure to forklifts, material handling equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Occasional overtime or flexible hours may be required to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Position Summary:
The objective of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to perform warehouse activities such as tracking and maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, disbursements, identification of parts, and supplies.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Responsible for entering information in JD Edwards software system
- Responsible for performing all clerical functions related to the performance of job duties, including responding to all e-mail inquiries
- Demonstrate the ability to follow departmental objectives, processes and procedures
- Load, unload, and move material throughout warehouse areas
- Develop proficient use of equipment and lifting devices not limited to forklifts, lift trucks, flat bed carts, hoists, and other lifting devices
- Must be able to multi-task and meet all deadlines as assigned
- Ability to complete all other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
- Possess the ability to read and understand both written and verbal instructions.
- Adhere to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines
- Report problems with quality, processes, and materials to Group Lead/Supervisor
- Explores methods of improving efficiency, speed, and quality of work being done
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Must be able to work well with others
- Ability to operate barcode scanners
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
