Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Elementary School Teacher role located in Burlington, NC. The Elementary School Teacher will plan, deliver, and assess standards-based instruction in core subjects, aligned with district curriculum and state requirements. Responsibilities include creating inclusive and engaging classroom environments, differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs, and integrating technology and STEAM or STEM activities where appropriate. The teacher will monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and maintain ongoing communication with families and caregivers. Additional duties include collaborating with colleagues, participating in professional development, and contributing to school-wide initiatives that support student achievement and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications
- Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans demonstrating strong skills in Curriculum Development and Elementary Education.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Teaching and fostering student engagement across diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Strong Communication skills to interact positively with students, families, colleagues, and school leadership.
- Foundational knowledge and training in Education, including familiarity with state standards and evidence-based instructional practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; valid or eligible North Carolina teaching license for elementary grades.
- Experience with classroom management, social-emotional learning, and culturally responsive practices.
- Comfort using educational technology and data to inform instruction and support student growth.
- Commitment to collaboration, ongoing professional learning, and contributing to a supportive school community.
