Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a warehouse role with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Skills:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing the shipping/receiving and assembly functions from the Tyler Blvd warehouse. This role involves collaborating with vendors and internal teams. The Warehouse Lead will manage a small group of people to ensure quality products are produced and customer deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling Coordination:
- Review upcoming orders and coordinate receiving, assembly and shipping functions to meet deadlines.
- Schedule inbound and outbound trucks.
- Inventory Management:
- Process receipts, shipments and claims into ERP system.
- Audit shipments to ensure accuracy of product being loaded to customer.
- Maintain organization of materials and inventory storage areas.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate a forklift to move materials and maintain organization within the storage areas.
- Operate a crane as needed to assist assembly functions.
- Assembly Process Oversight:
- Lead the assembly team to complete work orders on time with high quality.
- Verify team has all necessary parts and materials to complete upcoming jobs; coordinate and escalate roadblocks.
- Supervise and support assembly/shipping staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the assembly/shipping process.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with best practices in inventory management and kitting processes.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other inventory management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems and escalate as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in production/warehouse management is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and operate material handling equipment.
- The role takes place primarily in a warehouse setting. There will be forklift activity and crane activity for light assembly functions.
- Occasional shipments will need to be processed from vendor’s facility (neighboring primary location).
- Safety equipment and protocols must be adhered to at all times.
