Overview
The Program Manager supports the daily operations of Alabaster Jar Project programs, including the Grace House residential program and Resource Center. This role oversees staff support, client coordination, daily program operations, and accountability within a trauma-informed environment serving survivors of human trafficking and exploitation. The Program Manager works closely with the Executive Director to support program implementation, staff communication, volunteer coordination, and operational follow-through. The ability to maintain structure, accountability, and professionalism during high stress situations is essential for success in this role. Occasional flexibility may be needed during urgent client or program situations.
Description
Program Leadership & Oversight
- Support daily operations of the Grace House residential program and Resource Center.
- Monitor client progress and help ensure program expectations, schedules, and responsibilities are being maintained.
- Support implementation of curriculum, groups, and program activities.
- Participate in residential client screening and intake support alongside leadership staff.
- Maintain a trauma-informed, client-centered approach within all program interactions and structures.
- Communicate operational concerns, barriers, or urgent issues to the Executive Director.
- Respond to client, staff, or program crises appropriately and communicate significant incidents to the Executive Director.
Staff Management & Volunteer Coordination
- Provide day-to-day support, communication, and accountability for program staff.
- Maintain staff accountability, role clarity, communication, and follow-through on assigned responsibilities.
- Assist in addressing day-to-day client or staff concerns and communicate larger concerns to leadership when needed.
- Serve as a point of contact for on-site volunteers and assist with volunteer coordination.
Budget & Operational Oversight
- Support operational organization and supply coordination for program needs.
- Assist with tracking program-related purchases and operational needs.
- Ensure timely completion of program documentation and reporting requirements.
- Support grant-related documentation and program tracking processes as assigned.
Community Engagement & Events
- Support organizational events, outreach activities, and community engagement efforts.
- Participate in community meetings, training, and partnership opportunities as assigned.
- Represent AJP professionally in community interactions and collaborative spaces.
Administrative & Support Duties
- Ensure timely and accurate staff documentation and data tracking in Apricot.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, case consultations, and monthly training sessions.
- Assist the Executive Director with high-level administrative or program-related projects.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential programs, shelters, transitional housing, or social service settings required.
- Bachelor's in Social Work or related field preferred.
- Experience working with survivors of human trafficking, exploitation, domestic violence, addiction recovery, or complex trauma strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, crisis response, and professional boundaries within residential environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, and maintain consistent follow-through.
- Ability to remain professional, engaged, and so during stressful situations and difficult conversations.
- Experience supporting staff coordination, accountability, or team leadership preferred.
- Experience with Apricot/ETO or other case management databases preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Lived experience strongly valued.
