General Description
The Resource Center Case Manager plays a vital role in supporting survivors of human trafficking and exploitation who access services through Alabaster Jar Project’s Resource Center. This position supports day-to-day operations at the center, provides case management to external clients, facilitates initial client screenings for residential placement, and leads the organization’s economic empowerment efforts through product-making sessions. The RCCM also manages all front-line communications, organizes donations, assists with outreach, and provides support for programs and events.
Primary Responsibilities
Case Management & Client Services
- Provide light-touch case management to a caseload of up to 40–50 clients.
- Conduct initial screenings and assessments for potential Grace House residents.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and client progress using the Apricot database.
- Ensure clients are connected to relevant community-based services and support.
- Participate in coordination and leadership of support groups alongside the Grace House Case Manager.
Economic Empowerment & Product-Making
- Lead and facilitate weekly product-making sessions and trainings with residents and approved external clients.
- Coordinate materials, volunteers, inventory, and session schedules for product-making activities.
- Maintain inventory of finished products, record client participation, and support the economic development aspect of the program.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop promotional prototypes for wholesale or event sales.
Resource Center Oversight
- Organize and maintain the donation boutique, including sorting, display, and inventory tracking.
- Support check in’s for partner events and workshops hosted at the center.
Communications & Administrative Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for all phone and email inquiries to the organization.
- Manage and respond to incoming questions from the public, partners, and clients.
- Assist the administrative team with office support, event preparation, and data tracking as needed.
Outreach & Transportation
- Conduct occasional outreach to partner agencies, encampments, or known trafficking hotspots.
- Provide transportation for clients on an as-needed basis in coordination with the Grace House Case Manager
- Attend and support occasional community or organizational events.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in case management or social services preferred.
- Deep knowledge of resources, services, and housing options available in North County San Diego.
- Strong communication, organizational, and client engagement skills.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and working with vulnerable populations.
- Ability to lead creative, hands-on activities such as product-making.
- Comfortable managing a high volume of cases and maintaining clear documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems (Apricot preferred).
- Valid driver’s license required; must be comfortable transporting clients.
- Must be available on weekdays and for occasional weekend events.
- Lived experience with human trafficking, exploitation, or similar challenges is required for this position.
