Position Overview

The Campus Administrator at ASHS plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and day-to-day success of students during school hours. Working in tandem with the Director of Residential Life, this position helps create a seamless and supportive experience for students across academic and residential settings.

This role is ideal for a student-centered leader with experience in school administration, student discipline, and wellness programming. The Campus Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for families during the school day and is responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and values-driven campus culture.

Key Responsibilities

Student Safety & Conduct

  • Oversee student safety protocols and supervise campus-wide behavior during school hours.
  • Lead investigations into student conduct concerns, including harassment and code of conduct violations.

  • Ensure consistent enforcement of school policies in alignment with ASHS’s core values.
  • Investigate student accidents and other incidents and take appropriate action.

Student Experience & Programming

  • Plan and facilitate monthly assemblies that promote ASHS’s core values and expose students to diverse healthcare careers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Residential Life to coordinate intramural and co-curricular activities.
  • Support student leadership development through the House System and other initiatives.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Assist in developing and implementing family and community involvement programs and business partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary daytime contact for parents and guardians regarding student concerns.
  • Communicate proactively with families about student progress, discipline, and wellness.
  • Represent ASHS at community events and support recruitment and outreach efforts.

Operational Leadership

  • Demonstrate commitment to and support for the vision and mission of the school.
  • Provide an atmosphere conducive to teaching and learning.
  • Maintain visibility and accessibility on the school campus and all school-related activities.
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus and respond to student needs throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with academic and support staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Assist with crisis response and emergency procedures in coordination with school leadership.
  • Assume other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education, counseling, or school leadership preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in school administration, student services, or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and adolescent development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residential and academic teams.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies governing education in state and system.
  • Ability to work with people in an effective manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal styles and methods to guide individuals and groups toward task accomplishment.

  • Ability to facilitate problem solving by individuals and groups.
  • Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
  • Sufficient strength, agility and dexterity to perform all required tasks.
  • Demonstrate high standards of professional conduct.

Preferred Attributes
  • Experience as a principal or assistant principal in a public or charter school setting.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive discipline.
  • Background in healthcare education or interest in health equity and youth empowerment.

Evaluation

Job performance will be evaluated by the immediate supervisor based on the school’s policy and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Housing: On-campus housing negotiable
