Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join our team in Kent, WA, focusing primarily on Mac-based compute infrastructure with a secondary role in network operations support. This position entails hands-on management of our mac devices, including deployment, maintenance, performance optimization, and troubleshooting, ensuring operational uptime SLAs. The role requires a solid blend of skills in Mac hardware operations, networking fundamentals, and active participation in network infrastructure tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, rack, cable, and maintain various Apple hardware in the data center.
- Manage Apple device diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and configurations.
- Monitor system health and support operational uptime SLAs.
- Keep accurate asset records, labeling, inventory, and documentation.
- Assist with network infrastructure setup and maintenance, including switch installation and structured cabling.
- 3 years of experience in data center operations or hardware support roles.
- Hands-on experience with Mac hardware (Mac Studio/Mini/Pro) in production or lab environments.
- Strong understanding of racking, stacking, cabling, and general data center best practices.
- Working knowledge of network switches, Ethernet standards, and basic L2 protocols.
- Experience with ticketing systems, documentation, asset tracking tools.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs) and work in data center environments.
