Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer 1 for a reputable company in the Des Moines, IA metro area!
Location: Pella, IA
Pay: $21–$25/hr (W2)
What You’ll Do
- Work with engineering, service, and product safety teams to create clear operator and maintenance manual content.
- Update existing manuals and develop new content for small machine models.
- Produce technical illustrations using 2D/3D tools, photos, and CAD-based drawings.
- Manage small‑scope projects and collaborate with reviewers to finalize documents.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s in a technical/design field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe FrameMaker/Illustrator/Photoshop.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical knowledge preferred.
