Akkodis is seeking an Assembly Team Lead for a Direct Hire position with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL . Looking for candidates with experience in manufacturing or production. Ideal candidates have worked on assembly lines, are familiar with meeting production goals, have CNC machine knowledge, and are self-motivated go-getters.
Pay Range: $23/hr - $25/hr benefits 8-10 % bonus (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Shifts Available:
2nd Shift : (2 PM - 10:30 PM ) EST
Assembly Team Lead Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate tasks for 8–15 employees, ensuring smooth operation across assembly lines.
- Serve as the liaison and report directly to the Area Supervisor.
- Manage multiple production lines, stepping in to assist as needed.
- Monitor and track KPIs, line output, and overall team performance.
- Lead, mentor, and guide employees, including those with longer tenure, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.
- Ensure safety, quality, and operational procedures are consistently followed.
- Work hands-on alongside team members, assisting on the floor as necessary.
- Be flexible to work in other departments or cover additional responsibilities as requested.
- Work overtime when required.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong background in assembly and manufacturing settings; experience with CNC machines is a plus.
- HVAC component experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to confidently lead experienced teams.
- Quick learner with the ability to read, understand, and apply work instructions.
- Ability to coordinate, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
