Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Contract (W2) with a client in Chandler AZ - Hybrid - (3 days onsite in a week). Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in Python developement SRE, monitoring, telemetry,observability, metrics, distributed tracing, logging pipelines, SLIs/SLOs, Microsoft Azure (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Metrics, Azure Diagnostics), Containers (Kubernetes, AKS/EKS/GKE)

Pay Range: $65 -$70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to work within the SRE - Insights team. This team focuses on monitoring, telemetry, and observability across mission-critical platforms. You will design, build, and evolve systems that ensure our applications are measurable, reliable, and self-healing, while enabling engineering teams to quickly detect, diagnose, and resolve issues.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about metrics, distributed tracing, logging pipelines, SLIs/SLOs, and platform reliability-and who enjoys partnering with development teams to build world-class observability practices.

Bachelors Degree, Computer Science

5 Years experience in developing monitoring, telemetry and observability tools

Cloud Platforms - experience with at least one major cloud provider:

Microsoft Azure (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Metrics, Azure Diagnostics)

AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail)

Google Cloud Platform (Stackdriver, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring)

Understanding of cloud-native workloads:

Serverless (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda)

Containers (Kubernetes, AKS/EKS/GKE)

Managed services (databases, message buses, API gateways)

Monitoring Observability Tools

Expertise with modern observability stacks:

Prometheus, Grafana, Loki

ELK/EFK Stack (Elasticsearch, Fluentd/Fluent Bit, Kibana)

Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog

OpenTelemetry (instrumentation, traces, metrics, logs)

Logging, Metrics Tracing

In-depth understanding of:

Metrics (time-series, SLIs, SLOs)

Logs (structured logging, correlation IDs)
