Regional Sales Manager, Foodservice
The Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region, as well as to deliver upon the corporate strategy of the division at a local level.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the execution of the annual sales plan to support revenue and profit objectives.
2. Manages multiple Channel Partners within a region.
3. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.
4. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume.
5. Collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share.
6. Manages the business development effort, generating and qualifying leads for subsequent development, performing key account planning and maintaining a favorable business relationship with key accounts.
7. Effectively track and report market activity and analyze results.
8. Has full responsibility for planning, monitoring and managing departmental budget.
9. Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Is responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Plans organizational structure and job content.
10. Ensures all current and new employees are trained in the Code of Business Ethics, in its meaning and application. Periodically reviews the Code with employees and ensures they attend the annual ethics refresher program. Maintains a workplace environment that encourages frank and open communication, free from fear of reprisal, concerning compliance with the code.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications or related field. Eight plus years of related experience. Managerial experience preferred or equivalent industry experience.
