Akkodis is seeking an IT Project Coordinator for contract role with a client located in Houston, TX or San Antonio, TX. The IT Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects across their lifecycle. This role emphasizes hands-on involvement in project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time, risks are managed, and stakeholders are informed. This position focuses on day-to-day project operations.
Pay Rate: $44–$55 per hour
Contract Length: 12-months
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist in planning and scheduling project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document action items for follow-up
- Track project progress, risks, and issues; escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and resource plans
- Support financial tracking and resource allocation under guidance from project leadership
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of tasks
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to resolve blockers quickly
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Project Management, or related field
- 2–5 years in IT project coordination or similar role
- Must have experience in supporting a Program Manager
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar)
- Certifications like CAPM or CSM are a plus
- Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
