Akkodis is seeking a Governance Risk Compliance has a 12-month contract position with a client in Chandler, AZ (3 days onsite & 2 days remote).
Pay Range: $50-$53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Details:
This is a client-facing role focused on cloud risk, governance, and compliance within enterprise environments. The role involves guiding business and application teams through cloud onboarding processes by ensuring alignment with internal IT policies, standards, and control objectives. The candidate works closely with stakeholders across DevOps, SRE, engineering, and governance bodies to validate that cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) are secure, compliant, and production-ready.
Key responsibilities include interpreting regulatory and internal policy requirements, mapping them to cloud control frameworks, and ensuring proper implementation of risk controls. The role also involves reviewing architecture artifacts like data flow diagrams, managing compliance evidence, and supporting audits and certifications.
The candidate acts as a consultant to multiple teams simultaneously, providing technical cloud guidance, managing cloud use cases through governance pipelines, and ensuring timely approvals. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD, and risk management processes is essential.
Success in this role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to simplify complex cloud and compliance concepts for diverse audiences, along with strong organizational, analytical, and self-management skills.
