What are the responsibilities and job description for the DB2 Database Admin with REXX position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a DB2 Database Admin with REXX for Contract (W2) with a client in Chandler, AZ - Hybrid - (3 days onsite in a week). Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in DB2, Database administration, z/Os Database initiatives, REXX programming, Splunk, Python programing and System Management Facilities
Pay Range: $60 -$65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Positions Summary
Daily responsibilities include full life cycle management of DB2 mainframe databases from analysis through decommission. Additionally, the Individual will be involved in DB2 related z/Os Database initiatives, REXX programming and Python programing and SMF extraction for DB2 performance data.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of DB2 Database experience
- In-depth knowledge of SMF data and REXX
- Working Knowledge of Splunk and Python programming
Desired Qualifications
- Application development, database replication and database administration skill set with Db2 on mainframe.
