CNC Machinist 1st shift Job Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate CNC mill and/or lathe machines according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Read and interpret production drawings to verify dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements for manufactured parts.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment to ensure product quality.
- Monitor machine operations throughout production runs to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues to minimize downtime and support continuous production.
- Complete routine and preventive maintenance activities and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area before and after each shift.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, Precision Manufacturing, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
- 5-8 years of CNC machining experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret production drawings, determine dimensions and tolerances, and perform inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Hands-on experience setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC mill and/or lathe machines, with knowledge of cutting tools, CNC programs, and quality control processes.
