What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist - Night Shift position at Enjet Aero, LLC?
Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description:
The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups, CNC programming, machine process improvement and troubleshooting, and produces machined parts. The position is for NIGHT shift – Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shift; includes a 20% shift differential.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operator Multi-Axis lathes with live milling
- Use precision measuring tools to check and inspect to close tolerance requirements
- Document SPC and inspection results precisely
- Ability to modify tooling and fixtures as needed
- Advise supervisor and programming team of technical advancements to increase production
- Operate machines to produce production runs of parts
- Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System
- Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisor
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
- Other duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in CNC machine operation
- CNC Swiss lathe setup experience is a plus
- Read and understand blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with changing tools, performing offsets and quality checks on parts
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
- Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations
