Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator job with a client in Syracuse, NY. Must hold a Associate degree in Computer Science or related field to be considered. Will manage the organization's cloud computing infrastructure, including setup, maintenance, security, and optimization of cloud-based applications and services. Will be responsible for user access, monitoring system performance, implementing security protocols, and managing data backups, typically working within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
Salary Range: $75/year to $95/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cloud Systems Administrator responsibilities include:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
- Implement and manage cloud security measures for data protection.
- Monitor cloud performance and optimize resources for efficiency.
- Automate cloud operations with tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Collaborate with teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment.
- Conduct system maintenance, software installations and patch management.
- Lead discussions with users to establish system specifications and requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate in Computer Science or related field is required.
- Minimum Three years’ related experience
- Cloud administration certifications in AWS or Azure are advantageous.
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMWare.
- Strong knowledge of systems, networking software, and hardware.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategy and operations best practices.
- Exceptional analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
