Akkodis is seeking a Application Support Engineer our client based in Chicago IL
Salary Range:$75K-$95K per annum Benefits. The Salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
We’re looking for a technically strong, customer-focused Support Engineer to join our team and own the resolution of complex customer issues end-to-end.
This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, product, and engineering—perfect for someone who enjoys deep troubleshooting, clear communication, and making real impact.
What You’ll Do
Own customer issues from triage → root cause → resolution
Investigate system behavior using logs, metrics, and tools
Troubleshoot across applications, APIs, integrations, and data workflows
Communicate clearly with customers—explaining both what happened and why
Meet SLA commitments while maintaining high-quality outcomes
Maintain strong ticket documentation and hygiene
Identify recurring issues and partner with Engineering & Product to improve the platform
Support incident response, escalations, and on-call rotations
Contribute to knowledge base articles and best practices
What We’re Looking For
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience with web applications, APIs, and backend systems
Ability to analyze logs and perform root cause analysis
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
Strong ownership mindset and accountability
