Sr. Network Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Roseville, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, executing complex network changes, and contributing to network design, enhancements, and outage resolution.

Rate Range: $64/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Network Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Monitor enterprise network infrastructure and proactively troubleshoot routing, switching, and firewall issues during business hours.
• Provide medium to high‑complexity network support, including off‑shift support during major incidents or outages.
• Perform, validate, and document network changes, upgrades, and implementations with minimal impact to production environments.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Network Security, and Operations teams on maintenance activities and process improvements.
• Participate in network technology design, capacity planning, and evaluation of software/hardware enhancements.
• Support business and infrastructure projects as a core project‑team member, ensuring network stability and performance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network engineering and operations.
• Strong expertise in IP networking with proven experience in routing, switching, firewalls, and WAN technologies; CCNP and/or JNCIP certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to handle medium to high‑complexity network support, lead network changes, and participate in network design and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
