AKCG is seeking an experienced Crisis communications counselor who will serve in the role of Account Manager within our Crisis Communications practice. This individual exhibits strong professional and client-service skills and a heightened ability to think strategically with a big-picture mindset. This person will serve as the account lead for assigned clients, owning the overall strategy and deliver of client service. Upon hire, this individual will receive in-depth crisis communications training to understand, adopt and implement the AKCG Way.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day strategy and activities for several crisis communication clients, working to understand and achieve client expectations.
- Establish strong and trusted relationships with client contacts.
- Independently originate, refine and deliver client materials within established timeframes, with limited oversight from the larger crisis practice team.
- Counsel clients through crises/issues.
- Organize and lead client meetings, calls and other timely strategy discussions without prompting.
- Oversee team efficiency and invoicing for assigned clients.
- Identify topics, trends, issues and other current events that may prove relevant to the firm’s clients and initiate strategic discussion with AKCG team members and clients.
- Propose and lead periodic brainstorming and strategy discussions to evaluate and improve client services and materials.
- Manage, track and organize client data as necessary for the function of the crisis practice.
- Support junior team members, ensuring the team meets deadlines (both internal and external).
- Participate in frequent crisis practice and AKCG team discussions as are necessary to the function of the firm.
- Exercise a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
