Account Executive - Crisis Communications

AKCG is seeking a crisis communications counselor who will serve in the role of Account Executive (AE) within our Crisis Communications practice. This individual exhibits an understanding of client service, displays a strong attention to detail and is highly organized. AEs work in support of the practice's senior counselors to preserve the reputation of the firm's clients, while also working more independently on other assigned matters.

This person will serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients, working to proactively coordinate and manage various assignments on deadline. Upon hire, this individual will receive in-depth crisis communications training to understand, adopt and implement the AKCG Way. 

Position requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to manage various client assignments simultaneously and on deadline
• Capability to proactively and independently advance assignments
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism and discretion while handling sensitive information
• Agency experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients, working to ensure timely response to requests.
• Support crisis practice team in counseling clients through issues or crises.
• Originate, refine and deliver necessary materials within established timeframes.
• Organize and contribute to meetings, calls and other strategy discussions for both clients and the practice.
• Identify topics, trends, issues and other current events relevant to the firm's clients and initiate strategic discussion with AKCG team members and clients.
• Manage, track and organize client records and data as necessary for the function of the practice.
• Efficiently scan, evaluate and distill complex information from multiple sources into concise, relevant summaries.
• Review assigned crisis projects and prepare invoices for sending.
• Support efforts to grow and market the practice through written materials and research.
• Other duties as assigned.
