Role overview
This warehouse leadership role oversees shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control during the second shift. You will help keep warehouse operations safe, accurate, efficient, and on schedule while supporting daily coordination across departments.
What you’ll do
- Follow company policies and food safety HACCP requirements.
- Coordinate daily assignments with warehouse and operations leadership.
- Supervise shipping tasks according to standard operating procedures.
- Supervise receiving tasks according to standard operating procedures.
- Review inventory controls, including cycle counts.
- Review quality controls for incoming and outgoing product.
- Train and mentor warehouse employees.
- Support the production department as needed.
- Oversee product returns and rejections according to established procedures.
- Work with the sales team to support on-time delivery and product specifications.
- Monitor shipping needs through internal software and communicate with sales throughout the day.
- Ensure driver check-in procedures are followed.
- Fill in for the warehouse manager as needed.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of warehouse supervisor experience.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a distribution center.
- Material handling equipment experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Produce industry supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of produce grading and quality standards is preferred.
Work environment
- Warehouse setting with temperatures ranging from 33 to 55 degrees.
- Regular talking and hearing.
- Frequent stooping and kneeling.
- Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
