Role overview
This maintenance role helps keep school buildings and campus facilities safe, functional, and well maintained. You will complete repairs, support campus events, assist with safety procedures, and help maintain a clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.
What you’ll do
- Repair and maintain school buildings and facilities.
- Perform general maintenance work involving carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, appliance repair, and electrical wiring.
- Complete event set-ups and tear-downs for scheduled campus activities.
- Operate and maintain tools used for building and facility repairs.
- Perform on-call duties as assigned.
- Remove snow using shovels, blowers, and plows when needed.
- Provide logistical support for campus activities and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with fire drills, lockdowns, and other safety exercises.
- Help manage traffic flow and parking on campus.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in general maintenance or building trades such as carpentry or plumbing.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
- Good communication, flexibility, and time management skills.
- Experience with CMMS software.
- Ability to provide a criminal background check.
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from ladders and perform bending, reaching, crawling, stooping, kneeling, turning, climbing, and balancing.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk long distances across campus.
- Ability to work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
Salary : $22 - $25
