Responsibilities:
- Lead the purchasing department
- Obtain supplier quotes to support sales operations
- Issue purchase orders for new parts
- Negotiate supply contracts and delivery terms with domestic and international suppliers
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance
- Manage supplier claims and resolutions
- Participate in sourcing and developing new suppliers
- Drive cost savings initiatives
- Build and maintain supplier relationships globally
- Minimum of 4 years of Purchasing experience within the Automotive Supply industry
- Experience buying metric fasteners
- Strong supplier management experience
- Experience negotiating supply contracts
- Experience using MRP systems
- Working knowledge of IATF/TS16949 requirements
- Experience working with international suppliers (Asia preferred)
- Ability to read technical prints
- Familiarity with ISO, DIN, ASME, SAE standards
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Experience with automotive manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- German language skills preferred
- Travel up to 15%
