Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop operations team members to achieve individual and team performance goals while building internal advancement opportunities.
• Supervise drivers and helpers to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational expectations.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Division Manager to execute strategic and tactical initiatives that drive operational excellence.
• Conduct onboarding for newly hired drivers, reinforcing company values, policies, and performance expectations.
• Monitor driver performance, provide coaching, and recommend training or retraining as needed to ensure adherence to company and safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, customer concerns, and driver disputes; complete all required documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Develop and implement route optimization strategies, including service conversions and container upsizing, to improve efficiency and reduce route hours.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of company operations, services, and products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support company goals and uphold organizational values.
  
  

Skills/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, prefer associates degree
• Valid, clean CDL
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure
• 2-4 years of supervisory experience
