Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for leading the plant’s maintenance operations, including machinery, fixtures, material handling equipment, and overall facility systems. The role involves hands-on participation in the repair and maintenance of facility infrastructure and production equipment.

The position supervises the maintenance and facilities team to minimize operational downtime by implementing effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs. It also involves developing maintenance plans and coordinating schedules through clear communication with plant leadership and cross-functional teams.

Additionally, the role is responsible for controlling maintenance and repair costs by improving internal efficiencies and maintaining strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.

• Manage daily operations of the Maintenance department while supporting the development, training, and performance of maintenance staff.
• Collaborate with Production Managers to plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities and initiate repairs of equipment requiring immediate attention.
• Serves as a key liaison between maintenance and production teams to minimize machine downtime, reduce equipment failures, and maximize operational productivity.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance maintenance processes, improve equipment reliability, and increase overall efficiency.
• Works closely with OEM representatives to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and system issues.
• Analyzes data from the APM system to identify trends and recommend strategies to reduce downtime and operational costs.
• Identifies opportunities to improve equipment maintainability, reliability, and long-term performance.
• Monitors facility and property conditions, coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure proper upkeep and improvements.
• Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies, maintenance practices, and applicable safety standards impacting operations.
• Performs administrative tasks including ordering supplies, assisting with timekeeping, scheduling work and overtime, and supporting audit and compliance processes.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance position.
• Previous experience with metal fabrication industry, mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly experience is desired. Metal CNC maintenance a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong electrical / mechanical background required.
• Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), and the ability to quickly learn other computer programs used in the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.
• May occasionally be required to travel to other facilities to participate in maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of PLC’s, CNC machinery, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other common manufacturing disciplines are required.
• AutoCad or 3D Software experience a plus
• Previous experience working in an ISO or TS certified facility desired.

Salary Range:

$33.00/hr to $45.67/hr or $70K - $95K annually DOE
