Responsibilities
- Lead full‑cycle hiring and onboarding, including job postings, interviews, new‑hire paperwork, orientation, and safety training
- Manage employee performance processes, including annual reviews, 90‑day evaluations, supervisor coaching, and reporting to ownership
- Address employee relations issues with fairness and professionalism, overseeing investigations, corrective actions, terminations, workers’ compensation, and return‑to‑work coordination
- Oversee payroll accuracy, timekeeping records, benefits administration, and leave programs
- Lead the company’s safety and risk‑management program, including OSHA compliance, accident investigations, safety training, inspections, and ongoing culture‑building initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Safety Management, or related field; HR and safety certifications (SHRM, HRCI, OSHA) considered a plus
- Bilingual HR professional (Spanish/English) with 5 years of hands‑on experience and strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws
- Skilled in workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, and HR operations including payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS platforms
- Trusted, approachable partner able to handle sensitive issues with discretion, professionalism, and strong employee‑relations judgment
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented, with strong references and experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments
