Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor EHS objectives while promoting safe work practices and regulatory compliance
- Manage the facility training calendar, deliver OSHA‑required training, and maintain accurate training records
- Conduct behavior‑based safety observations, lead incident investigations, and guide managers on reporting and corrective‑action processes
- Partner with plant leadership on monthly safety inspections, workers’ compensation cases, and safety‑related communication materials
- Lead safety committees, support plant‑wide safety initiatives, and facilitate new‑hire safety onboarding
- Maintain safety and quality documentation, develop SOPs and training tools, and oversee material traceability processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, science, engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of occupational safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA standards, accident investigation, root‑cause analysis, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Proficient with computers and MS Office applications
- Solid analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills suitable for safety program execution
