Role: BAS Control Technician II
Location: Chippewa Falls, WI
Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced BAS Control Technician II to join our growing team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial HVAC and building automation experience who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, commission, and service DDC systems; may guide junior Control Technicians on projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and contractors to ensure system quality and performance.
- Configure graphics, alarms, and trends; conduct owner training and provide client support.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and modify systems as needed.
- Prepare for site work by reviewing plans, organizing materials, and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain accurate job documentation (time logs, service reports, inventory records).
- Identify potential sales opportunities and recommend system improvements.
- Manage tools, vehicle, and equipment inventory.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and manpower allocation to ensure on-time task completion.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field, or 5 years of direct BAS/control systems experience.
- 10 years preferred, with Alerton experience a strong plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, testing equipment, and BAS platforms.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Occasional travel for business or training.
- Combination of office, outdoor, and mechanical/equipment room work environments.
- Exposure to heights, fumes, and high-voltage areas.
- Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
