Aitkin Public Schools - Sweep, vacuum, buff, strip floors, wax, and dust mop assigned areas
- Remove trash from rooms and buildings
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including mirrors, washbasins, urinals, commodes, and mop sinks
- Refill tissue, towel, and soap dispensers
- Mow, trim, and maintain lawns
- Remove snow from grounds, sidewalks, and parking lots
- Dust furniture, walls, window sills, blinds, and woodwork
- Move furniture as needed
- Open and close facilities and monitor alarm systems to ensure building safety and security
- Assist with facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance and repairs
- 2C Boiler License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Ability to complete required safety trainings/certifications, including hazardous waste right-to-know, bloodborne pathogens, confined spaces, and lockout/tagout (may be obtained within one year of hire)
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
Aitkin Public Schools is seeking a Full-time Custodian.
This position's hours are 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. with occasional weekends. (Flexible schedule if working weekends.)
The Custodian performs intermediate manual work caring for and cleaning school buildings and grounds, and related work as assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Building and Grounds Supervisor and Lead Custodian.
