The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time, GG-14, System Architect at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by qualified candidates in the following occupations: Computer Engineer, GS-0854-14; Electronics Engineer, GS-0855-14; Operations Research Analyst, GS-1515-14; and Computer Scientist GS-1550(13)-14.

Salary Range: $ Salary: $148,275– $197,200
Must Have Requirements Or May Not Be Considered
Must have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics. A master's degree in a technical related field is highly desired.
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

Qualifications/Requirements
The primary purpose of this position: To provide professional and scientific expertise in performance of work requiring knowledge and application of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques.
U.S. Citizenship Required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Professional knowledge of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of agency, AF, DoD and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s).
Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material.
Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, investigate, resolve complex issues or problems, and modify standard practices and techniques to solve complex interrelated problems.
Skill, judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.
This position is Acquisition Category W (Program Systems Engineer), Level II, and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties.
