The Primary Purpose of this position is to serve as a Group Executive Specialist, in the Command Section of assigned Group. The position is responsible for administrating and directing the Group's executive functions and insuring that day to day operations comply with the policies of the command. The work is performed with an extraordinary degree of independence from supervision. Duty #1 - Serves as the executive advisor on programs and initiatives within the Group. Duty #2 - Performs a variety of staff studies relating to the management of the Group. Duty #3 - Plans/conducts staff meetings as directed. Duty #4 - Manages group resources for executive support, services and activities. Duty #5 - Monitors and tracks data calls for conferences and special events for the Group in support of the Commander/Director, Wing, Command Section, ALC, AFMC, Organizations, etc. (i.e., various MAJCOM data requests, etc.) Duty #6 - Performs a variety of administrative duties, and special projects/studies. Duty #7 - Works to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): Recruitment, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of the overall mission, functions, operations and organization; and a variety of principles and processes applicable to the work operations of a military group or equivalent. 2. Knowledge of analytical, evaluative, and planning processes, techniques and methods as applied to issues or studies involving administrative or support functions. 3. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, and precedents applicable to group programs and related support resources or equivalent. 4. Knowledge of Safety and Security regulations, practices, and procedures. 5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 6. Ability to plan, organize work, and manage multiple taskings. 7. Ability to apply lean, safety, security, and health principles, practices, and procedures; understand and apply internal management procedures. Additional Position Requirements: 1. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. 2. The incumbent must advise and assist the group commander with a variety of management and administrative activities. The individual must exercise a high degree of initiative, integrity, and independent judgment; display the utmost tact and diplomacy while coordinating matters with management officials; and draw upon extensive background in maintenance activities to include planning and resources management. 3. Incumbent may be required to work other than normal and extended duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays. 4.
