The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full time Acquisition Program Manager (GS-1101-15) to work in the National Capital Region.
The selected individual serves as the Deputy Division Chief for the Acquisition Division in the Mission Partner Capabilities Office. The mission of the MPCO is to deliver critical coalition Command, Control and Intelligence information to the warfighter to support multi-domain effects. The incumbent manages personnel who plan acquisition strategies, award contracts, manage cost/schedule/performance, and deliver capabilities.
The selected individual serves as the Chief of Acquisition for the Office of Technical Support in the NCR. The mission for SAF/CDMS is to develop innovative controlled approaches to access, infrastructure, and enabling support and supporting technologies for the DoW and other mission partners focused on warfighting and competition objectives; accelerate DoW and other mission partner technology development and transformative capability advancement; and rapidly conduct critical cyber capability development for DoW and other cyber mission partners.
Experience providing senior-level oversight of pre-award and post-award acquisition functions for complex programs, including acquisition planning, solicitation, and source selection support, contract administration, performance oversight, modifications, closeout, and strategic advice to leadership on acquisition execution, risk, and compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- Incumbent will be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Position may be subject to random drug testing.
- Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must be a member of an Acquisition Corps at the time of appointment.
- Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal Service in this position for at least three years. In signing such agreement, the employee does not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment.
- The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position; the APDP level required specifically for this position will be identified locally.

- Supports the management of a portfolio of projects/programs throughout the acquisition cycle valued at $6B, often with no closely related precedents
- Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates activities of functional specialists including contracting, engineering, program control, test, and logistics.
- Leads a team of highly talented, hand-picked acquisition professionals (civilian, support contractor).
- Represents the organization at department and executive levels presents programmatic and budget information to Congressional staffers and members, and works with senior contractor/industry representatives.
- Interfaces with organizations throughout the intelligence, military, and mission partner community to leverage shared development, funding, and resources.
- Ability to independently make decisions in line with the director’s strategic intent. Ability to utilize strategic context to prioritize needs across a broader family of systems. Ability to develop talent within the Department of the Air Force.
