- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
- Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of electromagnetic warfare (EW) and/or joint electromagnetic spectrum operations (JEMSO) plans and programs for conducting operations at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels (e.g., war, mobilization, deployment, exercise, contingency response, crisis action, special operations, acquisition, training, or similar operations).
- Knowledge of and ability to apply electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) policy, procedures, and tools, as well as EMS/EW capabilities and limitations to real-world and exercise contingency/crisis action planning, the development of Mission Scenario Events Lists (MSEL) for exercise support, EMS vulnerability assessments, and integration of EW into military operations.
- Knowledge of EMS superiority program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events.
- Skill in conducting comprehensive studies and unbiased research, assimilating disparate data, and rendering assessments of the implications of such data; and in preparing recommendations and solutions to military operational and contingency areas related to the DoD's ability to leverage EMS capabilities under conditions of urgency and pressure.
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead others in studies or projects and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations.
