The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response Specialist, (GS-0101-11) to serve as a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Victim Advocate at the 723 Wing (WG), Installation Integrated Resilience Office (IRO)(CVS), Creech Air Force Base (AFB), Indian Springs, Nevada.
Salary: $76,280 – $99,169 based on experience.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

In this position, you will serve as an installation Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment Victim Advocate. You will provide a wide range of essential support and advocacy services, liaison services, and care to victims of sexual assault/sexual harassment. Under the supervision of the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC), you will perform duties including crisis intervention, safety planning, and ongoing non-clinical support.

Qualifications/Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- A criminal background check must be completed
- This is a Mission Essential & Key Position. Active Guard and Reserve personnel are not qualified.
- Degree: At least a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- OR
- Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- OR
- Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required credentials for the position.
- Knowledge of a wide range of social science and social work principles, concepts, and practices related to victim advocacy and the SAPR program.
- Knowledge of Public Law, regulations, and executive orders relating to victim advocacy within the DoD and DAF.
- Skill with trauma-informed practices to provide tailored emotional support.
- Skill with training and education techniques to implement and deliver prevention and response training.
- Ability to develop trusting relationships engaging interpersonal skills within the scope of supporting victims.
- Ability to employ various methods of highly skilled professional advocacy (crisis intervention, assessment).
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or an on-call status, which includes staffing the 24-hour hotline.
