- Serves as Lead Configuration and Data Management Specialist in the NCN Division, with responsibility for managing the Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM), and engineering/technical data management efforts for United States Air Force (USAF) programs.
- The CM/DM Lead performs and leads CM and DM tasks related to planning, identification, change control, status accounting, and audits.
- This individual manages the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Data Requirements Review Board (DRRB) processes, develops requirements for acquisition documentation, and evaluates contractor proposals to ensure compliance.
- The role is responsible for the identification and maintenance of the functional, allocated, and product baselines, including all supporting engineering/technical documentation.
- The CM/DM Lead will evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), manage the airworthiness certification process, conduct configuration audits (FCA/PCA), and participate in major technical reviews.
- The individual in this role provides technical guidance and advisory support on all configuration and data management matters, develops and refines work methods and procedures, and maintains required certifications and competencies.
- The CM/DM lead will be responsible for implementing AF Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools across the division programs as well as other Digital processes and tools in support of the AF’s Digital Materiel Management vision. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least ten (10) years of experience in federal acquisition, configuration/data management preferred. REQUIREMENT FOR THE POSITION (not all-inclusive):
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- Employee will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Employee may occasionally be required to travel to a temporary duty station on commercial or military aircraft.
- This position requires routine access to classified information and meetings and therefore will require at least 5 days/week in the office.
