Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage account receivables to ensure timely payment for services provided.
- Reduce average days to pay and the number and amount of invoices overdue.
- Upload and enter invoices into customer online portals for timely payment processing.
- Follow existing collection process and provide recommendations to make process more effective and efficient.
- Examine unpaid invoices, sending out payment reminders and doing follow-up calls.
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, ACH, wires and credit card transactions.
- Analysis of payment history to determine at risk accounts and invoices and making recommendations on changes to payment terms and credit holds.
- Assist with other accounting tasks including validation of costs of goods sold, reconciliation of payments and vendor onboarding.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
Experience/Education
- One plus years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent required. Associates degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.
- Company will provide additional training, as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of accounting terms, processes and ERP systems.
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel or similar products.
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Above average oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, along with use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of issues.
- Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and advise project leadership on complex issues and processes
- Good problem-solving skills/decision-making skills.
