Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting function by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, reconciliation, and overall financial integrity of the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded appropriately
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when required
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules
- Provide support for internal controls, policies, procedures, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Automate repetitive processes where possible
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Motivated and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient knowledge of accounting, USGAAP. IFRS is a plus
- MS365 Dynamics or similar ERP advanced user experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on advanced Excel capabilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA is a plus
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus)
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
