A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking an experienced Transportation Litigation Senior Attorney to join its Orange County office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 5-7 years of litigation experience who is interested in handling complex transportation, logistics, casualty, and regulatory matters for sophisticated clients.
The successful candidate will have strong litigation experience, the ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution, and experience handling high-exposure disputes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside attorneys across multiple offices on complex transportation-related litigation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a litigation caseload from initial investigation through resolution
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and analysis involving transportation, logistics, casualty, and related regulatory issues
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Attend and defend depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Develop case strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and exposure issues
- Prepare reports and strategic recommendations for clients regarding litigation developments and resolution options
- Negotiate settlements and other dispute resolutions on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across multiple offices to provide comprehensive client service
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide meaningful case updates
QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California
- Minimum of 5-7 years of litigation experience, preferably involving transportation, casualty, logistics, trucking, or related matters
- Trial experience required
- First-chair or second-chair trial experience strongly preferred
- Strong deposition and motion practice experience
- Experience handling complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics-related legal issues preferred
- Experience involving emerging transportation, technology, e-commerce, or gig-economy disputes is a plus
- Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and client-management abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
