What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool & Die Maker position at Aimic Inc?
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to create and repair tooling components.
- Set up and operate machining equipment including conventional mills, lathes, drills, and surface grinders.
- Perform tooling fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities to support manufacturing operations.
- Verify dimensions and quality of completed work using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Support CNC machining, OD grinding, honing, and EDM operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and production teams to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic English reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience operating conventional machining equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work full-time and overtime as required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC machining.
- Familiarity with carbide materials.
- Knowledge of EDM operations.
- Experience using Mastercam software.
- OD grinding and honing machine experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry parts weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and production environment.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position
- 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
