Job Title: Senior Construction Estimator

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our pre-construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating, with the ability to analyze project documents, prepare accurate cost estimates, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to support successful project delivery. Experience with multi-family residential projects and working for a General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate construction estimates.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, construction budgets, and cost estimates.
- Solicit, analyze, and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
- Participate in scope review meetings, procurement activities, and pre-bid site visits.
- Prepare purchase orders and assist with contract issuance.
- Resolve cost discrepancies and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the pre-construction team to ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and competitive.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Experience estimating commercial and/or multi-family residential construction projects.
- Prior experience working with a General Contractor (GC) or Construction Manager (CM) is preferred.
- Proficiency with Procore, PlanSwift (or similar estimating software), and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, budgeting, quantity take-offs, and cost estimating.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Project.
- Experience developing long-term relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
