Overview
Seeking an experienced Plumbing/HVAC Design Engineer to support mechanical system design across multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, retail, educational, and healthcare projects. Ideal for a senior-level engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems from concept through construction documents.
- Perform HVAC/Plumbing load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Conduct QA/QC on drawings, specs, and reports.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 5 years of plumbing and HVAC design experience across multiple building types.
- Strong knowledge of IMC, UPC, Energy Code, and ASHRAE standards.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Engineering or related technical degree preferred.
