Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support fabrication operations by troubleshooting production issues and assisting with projects that enhance manufacturing processes. This role works closely with manufacturing engineers to improve equipment performance, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and fabrication issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support workflow analysis, work methods, and facility layouts to improve production efficiency.
- Assist production and new product teams in diagnosing issues with stamping dies and press equipment.
- Identify tooling, fixtures, jigs, and specialized equipment required for new or existing production lines.
- Support the justification, installation, and debugging of manufacturing equipment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Create, update, and maintain visual and written work instructions.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing routings and documentation.
- Support the development and deployment of new manufacturing processes and infrastructure.
- Conduct time studies and process measurements to reduce waste, cycle time, and quality losses.
- Perform additional manufacturing engineering support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with general machinery.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
