What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDM Supervisor position at Aimic Inc?
Qualifications
- 5 years of EDM machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment; aerospace experience strongly preferred.
- NADCAP Certified
- Previous supervisory, lead, or working-lead experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM processes.
- Ability to independently set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot EDM equipment.
- Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T skills.
- Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
- Experience machining aerospace or other close-tolerance components.
- Understanding of tooling, fixturing, electrodes, offsets, machine parameters, and process optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach to production.
Preferred Experience
Experience with aerospace engine components, CNC machining, CAD/CAM programming, CMM inspection, AS9100/AS9110 quality systems, and continuous-improvement methods would be beneficial.
