RISE is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1980 as Aid To The Developmentally Disabled (ADD) by family members who were concerned about the physical and emotional decline of patients compelled to live in crowded institutions.
These family members believed that appropriate treatment and training in a warm, sheltered, homelike environment would enhance their physical and emotional growth. With the support, funding and licensing of New York State’s Office of People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the Office of Mental Health (OMH), ADD came to life.
We are currently Seeking an Assistant manager of our Middle Island. Under the direct supervision of the IRA/ICF Manager, the Assistant Residential Manager will oversee and maintain successful operation of the Individualized Residential Alternative/Intensive Care Facility serving Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. The Assistant Residential Manager is expected to carry out responsibilities with the utmost professionalism, forward-thinking, and a positive role-model.
A H.S Diploma with at least 1 year of experience working with the Developmentally Disabled population; Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in the field of human services preferred.
