Specification Writer

We seek a full-time Specification Writer with proven experience in Pre K-12 Education and Healthcare for new construction as well as additions and/or interior renovations.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor and/or master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university
- Licensed Architect preferred
- Pre K-12 and Healthcare experience preferred.
- 10 years' experience, technical execution and project management.
- Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, BSD Speclink, Deltek Vantage a plus.
- LEED or WELL accreditation a plus
- CSI Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) a plus
- CSI Certified Contract Administrator (CCCA) a plus
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Writes project specifications and coordinates directly with the Project Architect and/or Project Manager for alignment with design intent and owner requirements.
- Takes a proactive role in coaching and teaching staff about Specifications.
- Draws on extensive knowledge and experience to share lessons learned and helps to manage risk on projects.
- Manages review of Master specifications across the company.

- Has extensive experience and knowledge with commercial construction means and methods, building materials, and systems and technologies.
- Has extensive experience and knowledge of detail application of ADA, building and life safety codes, standards, guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
- Has the ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of a client's program, requirements, standards, and policies for incorporation into the design solution and documents.
