- Support facilities maintenance and improvement projects required by DoD. (Department of Defense) data centers, which are located CONUS and OCONUS.
- Perform as a team member supporting Government employee teammates and the leadership of various DoD data centers.
- Travel to DoD data centers to review existing conditions and coordinate new projects.
- Provide expertise on matters concerning architectural and civil design issues.
- Required expertise to include site planning, office space planning, project programming, accessibility (handicap) codes, and building codes.
- Document new project requirements and scope, via a SOW (Statement of Work) document, which can involve specification writing.
- Create CAD concept drawings to clarify new project requirements and scope.
- Provide construction cost estimates to accompany new project SOW and concept drawings.
- Review SOW and concept plans prepared by Government teammates for new electrical, mechanical, fire systems, and communication systems. Focus of technical review to be Life-Safety code requirements, security requirements, and integration of systems.
- Review construction drawings and specifications prepared by A/E firms.
- Review “Record Set” drawings of DoD facilities, generated in-house by teammates.
- Provide technical expertise answering questions from remote DoD site management while new projects are being programmed and installed.
- Research and then follow and/or share requirements found in Government documents, regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as an Architect
- Possess current and active Architectural license in good standing.
- Proper mix of experience might substitute for an Architectural license.
- Knowledge of architectural issues confronted during industrial facility improvements.
- Familiar with civil, electrical and mechanical concepts and drawings.
- Proficient being simultaneously engaged in multiple projects, while managing other projects.
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Able to meet requirements to obtain Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- Designing Data Centers
- Familiarity with SCIF design and ICD/ICS 705
- Working knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) Attenuation design and concepts
- Working knowledge of Sound attenuation design and concepts
- Building Codes (IBC, NFPA, and UFC)
- ADA/ABA
- Cost estimating
- Specification writing
- Technical report writing
- Working with systems furniture and designing cubicle layout
- Executing projects on DoD property
- Working OCONUS
- Basic knowledge of Japanese and/or German language
- Familiarity with DoD site security regulations and design issues
- Working in a team environment while being accountable to 2 supervisors (1 DoD – 1 Vetegrity)
- MBA degree, engineering degree, construction management degree, other pertinent certifications
